WITPAC certification course being held on April 13th, 2024.

WITPAC is a specialized course for Pilot/Escort Vehicle Operators (P/EVOs), load drivers, and steerpersons who work transporting wind turbine components. WITPAC training prepares you to operate using the industry’s universal standards and procedures to improve team functionality and safety.

NOTE: This is an ONLINE certification class taking place via Zoom. To participate, students must use a device (or combination of devices) with a working camera, microphone, and speakers. Once you send in your completed registration form, you will be sent an invitation via email to the ZOOM session.

Cost: The cost for the course is $441.00 Canadian (including taxes) per candidate.

Course format: WITPAC training consists of two parts:

Part 1: Online modules and prep exam

When you register for the course, you will also be automatically registered for the online modules and prep exam. You must complete these prior to your in-person class session. You will be sent a link to access and complete the pre-course session. Upon passing the prep exam, you will be awarded a “Class Pass.” You must have a valid Class Pass to attend the certification class.

Part 2: Live online certification class

On the date you are registered to attend the live online class via Zoom, you will need to bring your required documentation (see below), and a copy of your Class Pass. You will take the certification exam at the end of your live online class.

Requirements

You will need the following:

P/EVO certification from Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia, or Washington, along with a valid Driver License from any U.S. state or Canadian province

-OR-

A CDL from any U.S. state or Canadian province (only allows to drive the commercial vehicle and not piloting or steering)

Your Class Pass (see above)

If you do not hold a P/EVO certification or CDL, you may still attend the course, but you will be issued Proof of Completion rather than a certification.

Schedule

Please log in to the Zoom meeting at least 15 minutes prior to class so that you can get checked in.

Be sure to check your time zone to find the right start time for your class!

Class begins at 10:00 am ET | 09:00 am CT | 08:00 am MT | 07:00 am PT.

The class includes two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break. The online certification exam will be administered as soon as the instructor-led portion ends. Students have a maximum of 2 hours to complete the exam. Your camera and microphone must remain on for the duration of the time it takes to complete the exam.

Student materials

Your student handbook will be emailed once you register. You are responsible for printing the manual for use during the pre-course and the actual course.

Certification

Certification will be issued to students who attend the full online session, verify their identity with a valid Driver License from a U.S. state or Canadian province, and pass the open-book exam with a score of 90% or higher. Certification is valid for 3 years.

Hold a valid P/EVO certification from one of the states named above, or a valid CDL from any U.S. state or Canadian province.

A digital copy of your certification will be emailed to you 3-7 business days after the conclusion of your class.
